Tow Mater

Mater is a rusty tow truck. He is the deuteragonist of Disney/Pixar’s Cars, and a major character in Cars 3, and a major character in the franchise overall.

Why He Rocks

1. He is usually a side character, and really works as a funny comic-relief character.
2. He is more hilariously dim-witted than he was in the first sequel.
3. He is shown being a normal tow truck in both films.
4. He was hilarious while driving backwards and tipping tractors (who appear to represent cows in the Cars universe.)
5. He is only involved anywhere in Radiator Springs and the climactic racing scenes.
6. He is the one who made kids laugh when they saw the first film.
7. Speaking of GQ #2, he is more likable than people thought about him in the 2nd film as well.
8. Larry the Cable Guy handled his voice perfectly, and Mater himself often uses his catchphrase “Git ‘R Done!”

Bad Qualities

1. Many people hated his role as the protagonist in Cars 2, as the spotlight usually centers on Lightning.
