Toothless is Hiccup’s Night Fury dragon and the deuteragonist of the How to Train Your Dragon franchise.

Why He Rocks

1. He’s probably one of the more (if not most) popular dragons in the entire film series.
2. He’s a brave, loyal and caring dragon to Hiccup.
3. He’s also the “one of a kind”-type of dragon character, due to being the only Night Fury from within his universe. He’s also an “Alpha Dragon”.
4. He’s also very intelligent and aware for dragons standards.
5. He’s also shown to be very playful, easy going and a humorous, teasing sense of behavior.
6. He’s gone through some major character development, much like Hiccup, Astrid and many of the other main characters.
7. His design is awesome and well-animated.
8. He has some very unique abilities, such as how he can retract his teeth hence his name.
9. In the third movie, he’s given the label “King of the Hidden World” as he falls in love with a beautiful white dragon.
10. He has many hilarious and unforgettable moments, such as when he’s trying to impress his aforementioned love interest in a weird dance while Hiccup watches from afar (which has soon become a meme).
