Son Goku, born Kakarot, is a male Saiyan and the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball meta-series created by Akira Toriyama. Goku is a Saiyan originally sent to Earth as an infant with the mission to destroy it, an accident alters his memory, allowing him to grow up to become Earth's greatest defender, as well as the informal leader of the Z Warriors. Throughout his life, he constantly strives and trains to be the greatest warrior possible and to fight stronger opponents, which has kept the Earth and the universe safe from destruction many times.

Why He Rocks

1. Goku is one of the most powerful characters in all of fiction.
2. Since Goku is the main character of the series, we've seen lots of him.
3. He is one the few characters we've seen grow from a boy into a man.
4. He always finds a way to surpass his limits, from a new super transformation to a new ki move.
5. Goku is a happy go lucky character, the kind of person who is friendly to everyone and everything.
6. Goku is not perfect, he makes mistakes like every human. An example of this is his inability to drive a car.

Bad Qualities

1. Goku is kind of dumb, this may be due to lack of a proper education and a good role model.
