Minions are a male species of fictional yellow creatures that appear in Illumination's Despicable Me franchise. They are characterized by their childlike behavior and their language, which is largely unintelligible.
Why They're Far From Despicable
- Throughout the Despicable Me/Minions franchise, there have been many heartwarming moments surrounding them.
- The backstory behind them is interesting. As in the 2015 prequel Minions, it shows they've been around for years.
- Their slapstick humor is very entertaining. Most notably their uncontrollable craving for fruit. Especially bananas.
- Their designs are very cute.
- For the most part, they're loyal and helpful to Gru.
- They're the official mascots of Illumination Entertainment.
- They're cleverly voiced by Pierre Coffin, Chris Renaud, and Jemaine Clement.
Bad Qualities
- While still funny for a lot of people, they're hated by some due to them being annoying.
- Outside of comic relief, they don't have a purpose to exist outside of merch sales.
