It reworks elements from the series into new roles. Kabuu, that one teleporting enemy is suddenly a deity. Cappies are now the main residents of Dream Land. Heavy Lobster is owned by NME instead of Meta and his crew. It's like Sonic Boom. There are familiar things here and there, and other media will occasionally reference it back, but it's its own thing. Tag: Source edit

They're like "what if"s, drop a character in a situation, and see what happens. It never actually does happen so the main continuity remains intact, but if x character were in that position, that is what they'd do and how they'd act. The novels are also pretty tied in with the game's universe, with characters from past games present, plus they can all remember the events of the games they appeared in. Tag: Source edit
  • curprev 23:1523:15, 19 April 2022HisRoyalNemesis talk contribs 20,392 bytes +12,537 How come everyone can understand that the DiC Sonics are nothing like the games, but insist on using the Kirby anime as a base for their characters? The Light Novels and Twitter stuff may be non-canon, but it's still in-character. Kumazaki oversees and approves this stuff, and is even going to be heavily involved in the upcoming RtDL novel. Smash? Literally made by Sakurai. They know Dedede best, and this is how they choose to portray him consistently. If anything, the anime's the outlier. Tag: Visual edit

But hey, I did keep the best pointers somewhere around these pages. Again, my sincere apologies Tag: Source edit
