Johnathan Xavier "Johnny" Test is the titular protagonist of the series of the same name. He is a mischievous 11-year-old boy also known for his love of anything he considers to be awesome. While he was was a bad character from the original 2005 series, he massively improved in the 2021 reboot on Netflix.
Why He Rocks[]
- His new design is pretty cool looking, thanks to Stephen Silver who designed the characters.
- He’s well animated, due to the fact that the reboot is animated with Toon Boom Harmony.
- He still cares about his family, and you can always count on him to save them, and the city.
- He has funny moments like his screaming while having a ride in the Netflix reboot trailer.
- He gained character development as he went on from being a selfish, disrespectful, immature, gross, and narcissistic spoiled brat who always tries to get what he wants by taking advantage of others and who often expresses an apathetic reaction to the disasters he causes, to a helpful, and hilarious hero who isn't trying to be edgy this time.
- James Arnold Taylor still does an impressive job voicing him.
- He is now smart, and intelligent for a protagonist as he often uses his knowledge to fend off his enemies.
- The tests performed on him by Susan and Mary are still creative.
Bad Qualities[]
- He wasn't a good character from the original 2005 series.
- He may be selfish at times, but not that much.
