"You know what? Naw. This calls for some bold action. ♪ I'm the bold action MAAAAN! ♪"
- Charles CalvinCompleting the Mission

Charles Calvin is the deuteragonist of Henry Stickmin. He is a veteran helicopter pilot who works for the Government. Charles meets Henry for the first time after Galeforce asks for his assistance in bringing down the Toppat Clan. After completing his mission for the Government or helping Henry escape The Wall, Charles is tasked to defeat the Toppat Clan and prevent them from going to space. Depending on Henry's actions, Charles can be one of Henry's best friends, a neutral ally, or an enemy.

Why He’s The Bold Action Man[]

  1. Charles is known to be an Ace Pilot for the Government as mentioned before. So much that he even was able to stop his chopper mid-flight in one route so the rotor blades don't chop up Henry and Ellie who were leaving the sabotaged rocket. Trust us, that maneuver is difficult yet he did it easily.
  2. He may have some silly and accident-prone moments, but Charles is easily one of the more noble characters in the series he comes from. In fact, he is one route to sacrifice himself for his allies. Just compare him to Henry and Ellie as they have a morality that is based on player choice.
  3. Has plenty of knowledge on Government weapons and other such tools since he works for the Government.
  4. Compared to Henry, Charles is more sociable and nonchalant about missions despite the severity of the mission.
  5. If you let Henry side with the Government, Charles is a good pal to henry as he shows confidence and trust in Henry on any mission they team up in. In fact, they make a great duo on their adventures.
  6. Can remain calm in situations that are minacious. In the Special BROvert OPS, he loses control of his helicopter while attempting to snipe someone. Ironically enough, he sounds more annoyed than panicked.
  7. His death in the Valiant Hero ending from Completing the Mission is touching.
  8. Since he's from a comical game franchise, he does have some funny moments as mentioned before including "This is the greatest PLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!!". Do you want more? look at this.

Bad Qualities[]

  1. Despite being an Ace Pilot, he has fails that show that he screws up and acts recklessly at times depending on the situation.
  2. Though comical, he crashes with his helicopter at whoever calls him. He's fine when landing though.
  3. The only time he sounded remotely freaked out would be near the tail end of the Valiant Hero route.

Trivia[]
