Captain Grime

Captain Grime is a major character in Amphibia.

Why He Rocks

1. He is very entertaining to watch, if how he's written, animated, and portrayed. Troy Baker encapsulates his charm and rough exterior with ease and so Grime often is fun to watch.
2. His friendship with Sasha is entertaining and wholesome occasionally, especially in seasons 2 and 3.
3. His redemption feels earned as he didn't want to leave Sasha behind to defend Wartwood on her own and him helping Sprig felt natural as their respect mutually grew during training sessions.
4. He lost his arm during the climatic battle with Darcy, and it leads to another great Sasha and Grime moment that really draws sympathy to both of them. He also is shown not letting his dismemberment haunt him during the last episode The Hardest Thing, as he seems to not regret his decision to fight or take the blow for Sasha, as well as that he seems happy despite what happened. This shows he valued saving others more than his own health.
5. He is impressively strong and an adept fighter. While not as adroit as Sasha he is often shown being a fight-savvy guy. Also is shown using his rage to get a second wind to keep going.
