- Despite being a bully, he has a surprisingly good singing voice.
- Although a bully, Buford seems to be friends with Phineas, Ferb and the rest of the main cast, and takes part in many of their exploits.
- His interesting and often hilarious relationship with Baljeet.
- Unlike most frenemies, he and Baljeet like each other.
- He is not afraid of anything or anybody, except for a giant squid, although he eventually overcame his fear of one.
- He is another one of the funniest characters in Phineas and Ferb.
