"I must save Froggy!"
-Big, Sonic Adventure
Big the Cat (ビッグ ・ザ ・キャット Biggu za Kyatto) is a minor character in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is a mobian cat who lives in the Mystic Ruins and spends his days fishing with his friend Froggy.
Good Qualities[]
- He's just a calm and peaceful guy who enjoys peace and quiet, but when it's needed, he'll gladly help.
- His friendship with Amy and Cream.
- Apparently, he has superhuman strength, just like Knuckles and Vector.
- Unlike the majority of the cast, he's actually able to swim.
- Despite not being very intelligent, he realized that Dodon Pa was working with Wisps (who only like nice people) when everyone thought he was evil for working with Dr. Eggman in Team Sonic Racing.
- He was quite helpful in the crossover with Mega Man, Worlds Unite, by fighting the Tunnel Rhino, Sigma's army and etcetera.
- He's pretty talented as a fisherman, making his boss fight against Chaos 6 a piece of cake.
- His theme song, Lazy Days, par usual, is really nice and fitting.
- Overall, he could be considered the Scrat of Sonic: A character whose happenings don't matter in the grand scheme of things, but are still fun to watch.
Bad Qualities[]
- As mentioned in GQ#5, he's not very intelligent.
- He's irresponsible with Froggy, given how many times he's had to go after him.
- He wasn't as important in Sonic Adventure and Team Sonic Racing as he was in Heroes.
- As mentioned in GQ#7, his boss fight against Chaos 6 was so easy it was rather pointless.
- He's the second slowest character in Adventure, after Amy.
